In shortWith a lead designer, I turned a financial-control MVP for founders into a design system and a high-fidelity product: dashboard, AI analyst, transactions and a runway simulator.
- SSituation
- Founders often find out they’re running out of cash too late, because their numbers sit across bank accounts and tools.
- TTask
- A lead designer set the core vision. I turned it into the design system and the high-fidelity product: the dashboard, Tellr AI, transactions and the runway simulator.
- AAction
- I chose dense screens over minimal ones, designed a runway simulator that forecasts 3, 6 and 12 months ahead, and let the transactions table carry the detail.
- RResult
- Delivered a complete MVP design: one design system and four high-fidelity product areas (dashboard, Tellr AI, transactions and the runway simulator), ready for the build. It’s built to be judged on one thing: founders seeing a cash shortfall 3 to 12 months before it happens.

Founders often find out they are running out of cash when it’s already too late. Their numbers sit across bank accounts and tools. Tellr pulls that data into one place and turns it into decisions. The lead designer set the vision. My job was to turn it into a design system and a high-fidelity experience built for the decisions founders make.

TStage 2Task: my part
01My part
The lead designer set the core vision. I turned it into the design system and the high-fidelity screens: the dashboard, Tellr AI, transactions and the runway simulator.
AStage 3Action: the decisions
02Decision 1 · Density over minimalism
In finance, a clean screen with nothing on it isn’t calm. It’s a missing answer. So I chose density. Balance, income, expenses and a financial-health score sit in one row, with revenue flow beneath and alerts beside it. Signals like unused subscriptions and revenue quality sit where you can act on them. A high-contrast system keeps all of that readable, so a founder gets from data to decision in seconds.

03Decision 2 · See the cliff before you reach it
I designed a Runway Simulator that forecasts cash over 3, 6 and 12 months. It gives a founder time to cut costs or start fundraising, instead of finding out when the account is empty. The same question can be asked in plain words through Tellr AI.

04Decision 3 · Let the table carry the detail
The dashboard summarises, and the transactions table holds the detail: source, status, category and date filters, plus bulk export or delete when several rows are selected.

It was handed over as an MVP design, before launch.
